Getting and Importing Evaluation Key

You may evaluate any Visual Paradigm client products for 10 days without registration. If you want to extend the trial to 30 days, you just need to go through a simple registration process. In this article, you will see how to sign in our register to Visual Paradigm, to get the key and import it into the license key manager.
Requesting Key from License Key Manager
There are two ways of getting an evaluation key, either request from the product download page, or request from the license key manager that appear when starting the application the first time.
If you are requesting from the download page, please skip this section and move to the next section Getting the Key.
As mentioned, you may click on the Request Key button at the license key manager in application to request for an evaluation key, too.
Getting the Key

When you have requested for a key, you will be redirected to the page of requesting key. If you are already our registered user, fill in the Member Sign in section and click Request.
If you are new to Visual Paradigm, welcome! Please fill in the Registration section instead, and click Sign up and Request Key.

Check your E-mail account. You should receive an E-mail with subject "Visual Paradigm Product Evaluation", sent by us, Visual Paradigm. If you do not see one, please check whether our E-mail was blocked or being treated as spam, and was moved to junk box.

Click on the download link in the E-mail to download the evaluation key. If you had checked Send evaluation key as attachment in the sign-in or register forms, which are the forms as shown in step one, download the key file from the attachment of E-mail.
- Save the key file to somewhere in your system, and get ready for importing it into application.
Starting the Application and Importing Key
- Start the application. Here we use VP-UML as example.

At the first time you start the application, the license key manager appear due to the absent of valid license key.

Click on Import key.

Specify the file path of license key and click OK.
This imports the key.

Click Close. This starts the application, as well as your evaluation. Enjoy!

Community Edition is free for non-commercial use only
For example, you are leaning UML in school or by reading books. You are entitle to use the Community Edition.

Can I get an free license key or only a key für 30 days?
